Happy New Year Everyone!!

* Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
* Memorize your favorite poem.
* Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
* When you say, "I love you", mean it.
* When you say, "I'm sorry", look the person in the eye.
* Believe in love at first sight.
* Never laugh at anyone's dreams.
* Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
* In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
* Talk slow, but think quick.
* Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
* Call your Mom and Dad.
* Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.
* When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
* Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; Responsibility for all your actions.
* Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
* When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
* Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
* Spend some time alone.
* Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.
* Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
* Read more books and watch less TV.
* Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll get to enjoy it a second time.
* Trust in God but lock your car.
* A loving atmosphere in your home is so important. Do all you can to create a tranquil harmonious home.
* In disagreements with loved ones, deal with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.
* Read between the lines.
* Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality.
* Be gentle with the earth.
* Once a year, go someplace you've never been before.
* If you make a lot of money, put it to use helping others while you are living. That is wealth's greatest satisfaction.
* Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes the blessing.
* Remember that the best relationship is one where your love for each other is greater than your need for each other.
* Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
* Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.
--- And most importantly -----
* Pray. There's immeasurable power in it.

Road Trip!!

It was strenuous & chilling but fun since it’s gonna be my first time to drive from Davao to Tagum vice versa and the proximity of distance is approximately 78kms. Together with joy my twin sister & kuya Brian, we accompanied Erica my elder sister to take her new PC set and her other belongings to her new apartment in Tagum. We headed around 11am and reached Panabo to take our Lunch at around 12:30. After 30 mins of break, we continued our journey, have seen picturesque spots, and finally dropped at NCCC in Tagum at 1:30 pm to buy a Computer Table as a complement for her new PC Set.

As we approached her apartment, we immediately installed the PC and mounted the computer table and after an hour or two, one of the Smart Bro installer arrived to set up Erica's Internet Connection. Finally it was all set at 5:30pm and decided to go home since it's a long way back going Davao and I'm quite afraid to take the wheels since the pavements are dim so joy decided to do so. But when we reached Carmen, Erica told me that there were some checkpoints going ahead so I took the drive instead and runs pathetically at 40kph.. he he...

Well, we have also seen and take some snapshot of the astounding scenery on our way home. Attached are the pictures my twin sister and I took using a phone camera since we forgot to bring our digicam.
It was already scattered with rain showers when we reached Davao at 7:30pm and since it was still early we had just decided to drop by at Victoria Plaza and at SM to buy some stuff. I was very tired then and reached our home sweet home at 11pm but still wearing a smile on my face for that treasured experience in my life. Seize the Day!!

Pet Proof Your New Home

Pet Proof Your New Home

By Anthony DeFrietas

Before bringing your pet into the new space of your new home, take several steps to ensure your safe haven is indeed safe enough. Pets will naturally investigate the world they find themselves in. Of course, this cannot and should not be discouraged. But consider the hazards your pets may encounter in your new home. Take the following measures to minimize any potential danger encountered in your pet's daily travels about the new house.

- Barriers should be put up to keep pets out of areas where they are not welcome.

- Children in your family should also understand the importance of locking or closing these gates and barriers.

-Keep in mind that most intentional destruction by pets stems from a lack of exercise or mental stimulation. Have a plethora of play/chew toys available for dogs and consider a scratching post for the energetic cats.

-Establish routine with consistency in your new home. You may be busy setting up, but there will be long term payoff for consistent walks with the dog.

- Chemical Substances should be kept in a safe location .This includes all chemical substances. Although some are lethal, most can cause serious upset or intestinal complications.

- Know what plants are poisonous to pets and ensure they are out of reach.

- Put away pill bottles and pill organizers. A dog can easily chew open these containers- childproof or not!

- Check fences and hedges to see if your pet might be able to escape. Never underestimate a dogs ability to dig and a cat's capacity to slide through anything.

- Dogs like to be able to look out and see what is going on. Try to keep items, especially fragile ones, away from windows.

- Tame cord clutter by hiding cords under baseboards and carpet seams whenever possible. A pet can suffer burns or electrocution from chewing on live cords. You can also use cords covers to mitigate possible danger.

-All things "stringy", including string, yarn, dental floss and rubber bands can cause intestinal blockages or strangulation. Keep these items out of reach. Do a vacuum or floor scan of your new home before welcoming your pet/s.

A rule of thumb to follow: treat pet proofing much the same as you would approach baby proofing your home. No detail is too small to be overlooked. Take all the care in the world setting up pet safety in your new home, and you will have safe, happy and healthy pets as a result.

Led by the Spirit

Led by the Spirit

Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation--but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Romans 8:12-14 NIV

Bible Verses

Our Wonderful Provider!

So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:31-34 NIV

Muchos Gracias!! Mi Amigas Christmas Party!!

It has always been our barkada’s customary way of celebrating Christmas Party 2 days before Christmas in each other’s home since College and this time it was held possible in my abode. Each one of us prepared presents for her Manita since we are all girls and we’re very excited and can’t wait to open each other’s gifts. Well, a bunch of thanks to the shopping sites on the Internet, Amazon and E-bay for helping me out on what gift I have to give to my manita. It's indeed a great Discount Shopping service they have provided and really gave me an idea to save time and money. What a great value!

Well, some brought cakes, grilled chicken, delicious pies, mouth-watering ice cream, “Pancit Guisado” a form of sautéed noodles and it’s the perennial item on the Filipino dining table, and of course at your service prepared Kare-Kare also one of the Best Filipino Cuisines, cake, fruit salad, and Lumpia.

We were very happy then when the party started eating and gobbling the dishes and sweets served on the table, chitchatting, and of course the most spectacular course in the party sharing each other’s presents and picture taking. We all decided to have our party overnight since we wanted to attend “Misa de Gallo” which is a Spanish phrase for Midnight mass, more literally translated as "Rooster's Mass." It is said that the "Rooster's Mass" owes its name to the idea that a rooster would have been among the first to witness the birth of Jesus, and thus be the one to announce it. So as practiced here in the Philippines, this custom lasts for nine days, starting on December 16 up to December 24. It’s actually would be my 3rd day since I missed my 3rd day when I went to Tagum and unfortunately missed consecutively the following masses. So, just now that I continued attending it together with my friends.

At the break of the dawn we were so excited and I guess most of us didn’t sleep for the Misa de Gallo. So we fixed ourselves, went to church, and after the mass, I introduced my college friends to my Rosary Group mates in the Church and headed back home to eat again and sleep. That was indeed a great experience for us and I hope in the following years we will still wake up celebrating and merrily celebrating one reason that is the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ... Seize the day!! ☺

Happy Christmas Everyone!!

Actually when it comes to music, I'm not very particular as long as it is pleasing to hear and I can sing along with it. But I am more comfortable hearing and singing along with those music in the Church and Broadway like in Les Miserables, little Mermaid's "Part of that World", high School Musical Sound Tracks and of course Christmas Songs like "Why couldn't it be Christmas" by Bianca Ryan of American Idol, "All I want for Christmas by Mariah Carey, Britney's "Santa can you hear me" and almost all the The Jackson's Christmas hits!!

Orphans first Christmas together with Smart PipS!

It was past 8pm when me and my sister Erica arrived at Tagum and immediately went to a small Orphanage which has only 21 orphans being sheltered by few of the PM sisters. I actually forgot the name of that Orphanage. The party has already started at around 7pm, and were anticipated and sponsored by Smart Wireless employees in Tagum Branch which my sister is connected with and that is also the reason why I was there, gate crashing..hehhe..

I've seen how those kids were so blissful, reaching their innermost zenith of emotion when they joined different games, merrily singing Christmas songs, eating mouth watering foodstuff prepared by the Smart employees and who wouldn't like receiving gifts? Of course those 21 orphans were so happy and reached the verge of happiness and gladness when they got each one of them their presents.

It really feels so heartwarming and undeniably gratifying when you see those children shows a bright smile on their face not thinking about their gloomy and morose history as long as they are living to the fullest!! ~Carpe Diem~

It's just that I was enamored but the beauty of it so I took some snapshot of it..The Christmas lights embedded around it and that gigantic man-made Christmas tree was indeed really fantastic and I believe it requires a lot of reinforcements and efforts..

Great Job Davaoeños!!!!♫♥

New Job!!

It was already 5:25 in the morning when I was pestered by the alarm of my cell phone I was still sleepy then so I turn it on a snooze mode and get back to bed. Again, after 10 minutes it gave another thud compelling me to get up for work. So, I fixed myself and headed downtown but still heavy-eyed since I slept last night ironing my clothes around 12 midnight.

Given that I was assigned in Lanang Branch, I really have to wake up that early to be able to attend the Company’s Monday morning session. Actually our official time in is supposed to be 8:00 o’clock in an ordinary day but because of our Monday routine, we have to be in at 7:30. So I hastened my pace since it’s my first day and reached the bank at around 7:11, good thing I was 19 minutes ahead.

Much to my surprise, the assembly was spearheaded by our big bosses and different cluster account Executives, Area Managers and officers coming from Tagum. So we started with a prayer, national anthem, the Bank’s Vision and Mission Statement recitation, Bible sharing, presentation of the company’s profit standing , closing prayer and finally the bludgeoning and nerve-racking introduction of the newly hired employees and that includes me. After the session we proceeded to our respective departments and I also went under the tutelage of the area manager for the orientation and JD as well...

During my 1st hour, I was really sleepy and there’s a feeling of apathy, but then, I tried to battle that mood because I don’t want to mess up my first day. Well, I have somehow grasped some of the job description, indeed the job entails higher responsibilities, and it’s very challenging… I just hope and pray that I could surpass the problems that may come along my way as I endeavor that job….♫♪

COMMON MISTAKES TAG

Tagged from Kuya Brian..

Thanks kuya Bri..

Here are the rules:~Start copy paste~Instructions:

To play this game, all you must do is explain what your most common writing mistake is. Then, simply tag 5 people for the meme. Those 5 will, in return, tag 5 more people. Ultimately, readers should see a tapestry of common grammar and spelling mistakes. Therefore, anyone who feel ashamed of their errors will feel a bit more confident and secure.Copy the person and persons' names that sent it to you and add your own at the bottom of the list. It really helps build community. The answers:

Shine with Grace : Mixing the word 'from' with 'form' all the time.
Trinity : I sometimes feel confused to use past tense or present tense when I share my stories.
LadyJava : Typing too fast that sometimes I miss words in between.
Genie King : I type too fast too... always end up with 'tot he'... when it should be 'to the'.
Spiff : I type too fast that I end up with sentences that have no spaceinbetween... LOL!
Nessa : Mostly grammatical mistakes... but it doesn't really bother me as long as my readers understand :)
Choc Mint Girl: Obviously grammatical error due to lack of vocabulary…but getting better and better and better…he he he…
Liza : I type too fast too that's why sometimes my spellings are wrongf... see. Lol ;) And same with Grace, mixing the word from and form at times. (I'll be posting this tag to my other
blogCecil: errors on grammar and sometimes I don’t know where to place my comma or when to use colon or semi-colon :( too.)Nancy: I'm always trying to use every function of my fingers but can't really help but slip which resulted to pressing the wrong key most of the time.Darlene: I always made a mistake by typing HELATH instead of HEALTH. Sometime the FOR is FOT because the R and the T are very close to each other lol! Anyway i always do mistakes when i type, everybody does i guess no matter how good you are in typing you always make some mistakes.Bisdak Footprints I usually have wrong typo when I am in a hurry typing entries during PPP time because need to be fast so I can grab as many opps as I can.For that, wrong typo making my english look worse to others. They read it before I can do some editing..they might think my english is so bad..ahhermmm...but i edit it anyways...
Twerlermz : I'm using basic or simple english most of the time so i think my most common mistakes are : redundancy, spelling and grammar (toink!)
Thira: I type too fast too, sometimes my mind is way ahead with my typing so I miss out and misspell words and I have to go back and read again and correct it. Sometimes using the past and present tense in writing, and using the hyphen properly, wehehe:)
Juliana: I always mis-spell "you". More often that not I type it as "oyu" because I'm typing fast and because it's a three letter word, it's prone to get typed incorrectly. It's good there's a spelling checker hehe, I always catch the mistake before it is published.
Teebob : If I write an article about a male person I often use her or she instead of him or he.
Norm : Sometimes I'm confused of the grammar and right spelling. Then I'm typing so fast that usually miss-spell taht instead of that and many more.
Brian: typing errors just like Norms and Teebob. I don't edit my work before posting it.
Catsy:Most of my mistakes are grammatically incorrect sentences, spellings, typographical errors and sometimes, the words I type precedes my thoughts that's why sometimes it's unorganized.. HEhehe.. Pax Chriti!!!

Lost GSIS E-card

I wake up this morning worrying about my Medical Exam result since I’ve been coming back in forth at the clinic for about two days and I needed the result badly that is to be submitted this day. I also have to photocopy my other credentials just in the stone's throw in our house so I don't have to carry the original copies and have it photocopied there and another is that I have to check my mom's GSIS Loan status at the ATM. So I asked joy to accompany me and woolsy our beloved cat to get in the car. When we reached One Network Bank I immediately check it on the ATM, unfortunately there's still no balance credited so I put it back on my wallet (perhaps). Since I was the only one at the ATM, I also check my other ATM cards and went to a photocopying center afterwards.

Around 12 noon my mom called regarding the status of the GSIS Loan and found out that still no feedback about the latter so she decided and asked me to accompany her at the GSIS office to re-apply the loan again. As I was about to leave the house to fetch my mother at the school, I happened to check my wallet and the GSIS e-card... Oh My GOD!! I was taken aback when I learned that it wasn't there...I was not really sure if I placed it on my wallet safely.. So many things came running on my head for sure that I'll be scolded by my mom if she finds out that I lost it. Panic-stricken I checked the car, it wasn't there, I went to the bank, maybe I left or fell on the ground and asked the guard but still no card was being found and finally I went to the photocopying center but they didn't found any GSIS Card. So I just phoned my mom that I’ve lost the card and I won’t be able to accompany for I will be reporting to the office. She was indeed surprised and so worried about the lost card but I assured her that I will find it.

On my way to the clinic to get the medical results, I was really confused and flash-backing on how did I lost the card. I can’t really concentrate and I didn’t know what to do. I just set my mind that maybe I just happened to misplaced it in the house and not somewhere else. Then around 5pm, my BF called me and asking me about our plans yesterday about watching a movie specifically Golden Compass, so we met at the NCCC Mall. Bewildered, he asked me if what’s wrong so I told him the whole story. Unfortunately, to my dismay I just decided to postpone our date since I was really worried about the card and good thing is my BF consoled me and we just went home afterwards.

When I got home, frantically I affirmatively told my mom about the lost GSIS e-card and just informed her to get another one... She was really upset, reprimanded me for my negligence, and compelled that I will be the one to ask another one at the GSIS office tomorrow... What a really bad day for me... I hope I can process the card replacement right away…☻♫

Your Driving Is is: 42% Male, 58% Female

According to studies, you drive both like a guy and a girl.
This means you're a pretty average driver, with typical quirks.
Occasionally you're frustrated and or a little reckless, but that's the exception - not the norm.

I'm sending this chain to Brian.

My First Driving Escapade

Nerve-racking and I was so tensed when I started the engine for my first driving experience heading downtown this afternoon. Actually it’s supposed to be my twin sister since I believe she’s more confident to take the wheels but the problem is, she haven’t acquired a Driver’s License yet, so I decided to take the lead instead.

Well I was not really confident at all since I just recently got my Driver’s License last week and only few of those driving tips I have somehow grasped during the seminar and the actual driving which in fact I was under my twin sister’s tutelage for just two weeks. Sometimes, when I am caught in the traffic, I can't help my knees but to shake and praying that I can surpass that traffic which I used to call it “labyrinth.” There are also times when I’m really having difficulties and troubles in parallel parking just like when we headed to Citihardware to buy some ceramics and some Christmas decors at NCCC Mall afterwards. My face really turned red when that guard on duty has caught my attention when he uttering something I couldn't understand, perhaps he’s thinking about me being so ignorant on parking the car...Well..Funny how it is but we all drove home safe and sound... And I’m ready for the next driving adventure... Hope I couldn’t meet any accident on my next escapade. Ciao...♫♫♪
