When I learned that Chester is taking me to the new park after malling, I just responded with a shrug because I was expecting of some other place like in Jacks Ridge. Actually it would be my first time to visit the place and thinking that it’s just a mere simple park in our town.

The new People’s Park is actually located in central Davao and surrounded by several hotels such as Royal Mandaya Hotel, Apo View, Hotel Galleria, Casa Leticia and stone's throw Marco Polo Hotel. In close proximity is also the Casino Filipino where rich people gamble, Liquid Bar and Summit where every teen hang outs, and of course if you feel the hunger, take the plunge to the different barbecue/grilled eateries such as Penong’s, Banoks, and other’s where pigging is very welcome. And if you want to try classy and chic edible foods, there are also high class restaurants, bistros, and cafĂ©’s, located nearby.

When we reached the place, I was taken aback because it seemed to be a very cozy park, perfect for dating and family hang-outs though it’s jam-packed with myriads of people and tourists. The place was indeed filled with so much artistic faculty and creativity for its theme epitomizes the different tribes and picturesque spots in Mindanao. Well I owe Chester a lot for taking me into that nice park in town and it’s indeed worth strolling.
